Decades in luxury hospitality across Europe’s grand houses. She has led the property since the early years and quietly sets the benchmark the rest of the team protects.
The people of Quietvistasanctuary
A private resort and casino on the Mediterranean shoreline. It opened in 1986 with six rooms and one belief — the finest hospitality is felt, not announced.
Our story in three paragraphs
In summer 1986, two friends — a former hotelier and a chef — acquired a stretch of coast and turned a private villa into a six-room inn. There was no investor deck, no formal marketing plan, and no Instagram account. There was a notebook with two ideas: host fewer guests better than anyone else, and avoid anything that is merely "industry standard".
Forty years later, we have 180 keys, three restaurants, one Michelin star, three private gaming salons, a full spa, and a guest book quietly filled by the same families returning year after year. The notebook still exists. Those two ideas remain unchanged.
The property is still owned by the same two families who started it. We have never sold to a chain, never franchised the name, and never opened a second address — even though we are asked often. Our answer is always the same: do one place well.
What we believe
Hospitality without theatre
Fresh flowers belong in the room because they should be there. The robe is substantial because it should be. The work that matters most is the work you barely notice.
Continuity over churn
The bellman greeting you at the door has worked here longer than many of our suites have existed. Our head sommelier has been here for years. We hire slowly and keep people for the long term.
Local over global
Our menu follows what the coast provides, our cellar favors growers within four hours of the estate, and our spa products are made by a chemist living forty minutes away.
Quiet by design
Adults-only, screen-free public spaces, soft lighting all day, and a music program designed to disappear into the room. Loud is simple. Calm is difficult.
The team
Six people leading the property day to day. Their paths differ; their commitment to the standard does not. Behind them is a 280-person team across operations, food, beverage, wellness, gaming, and concierge.
Oversees food, beverage, and overall guest experience. A former Relais et Chateaux board member and the source of the resort’s no-rush service philosophy.
Trained at Le Cordon Bleu with stages at some of Europe’s finest kitchens. He earned the property its Michelin recognition.
Court of Master Sommeliers certified, she curates a cellar of several thousand bottles with a special love for old Burgundy and small-grower Champagne.
Trained in Kyoto and Marrakech, she built the spa program around one belief: rest is a skill, not a luxury.
Years on the floors of Europe’s private salons. She built ours around discretion, fair play, and a personal-host model many houses now imitate.
